Have a look at our Calendar of Events to be informed about upcoming courses and seminars held at Gaia-Oasis. More information about the courses can be found in Open Groups and Seminars. Please contact the course leader directly for additional details.
In addition to group seminars & courses, Gaia-Oasis offers a daily healing session (usually incorporating mind & body awareness) free of charge 5 days a week. To see what is available, please look at our Yoga, Healing & Awareness section.
We also offer other sessions, some on a donation basis, depending on which practitioners / members are resident. Donations go mainly to Gaia-Oasis social and environmental program in Tejakula, which have just been launched.
Under Festivals you will get a list of major celebrations to be held in Bali in 2010. These celebrations are generally very colourful and communal affairs, and are a good opportunity to see Balinese cultural life closer up.
Actual News:
Recently, we were very happy to host Bill Dalton and family, a journalist who likes to discover places off the beaten track. Bill enjoyed his stay so much, he wrote an article about the area!
Come join us in Tejakula; enjoy organic meals, yoga, peaceful beaches, forested hills, historic spots and the unique arts, music and dance of North Bali.

Gaia-Oasis Foundation - our Non-Profit activities
As of mid 2009, Gaia-Oasis is jointly owned by 2 parties; a German EV and a Balinese Yayasan (non-profit foundation). This means that Gaia-Oasis will continue to offer accomodation and other services to members and guests, but that 50% of our profits will go towards social, cultural and environmental programs for the people of Tejakula and the surrounding villages.
Our Yayasan is in very young; however we have already successfully worked with the fishermen, local village, a conservation NGO and government officials to restore the reef around Tejakula by implementing a protected "No Take" zone, and training local fishermen to become divers. We also sponsor a mountain school in Tejakula and we provide scholarships for school children in all 8 primary schools in Tejakula. We also actively support the Balinese sacred arts & culture. We have a pilot project in our Abasan hillside retreat, to move from monocultural farming to organic farming utilising permaculture principles, while reforesting the hill with native Balinese trees and introducing a greater variety of fruits, trees and vegetables.
