Gaia-Oasis, far from the usual tourist bustle, is nevertheless close to many interesting sights of this hinduistic island. Only about 20 min away, you will find the black sandstone temple Ponjok Batu, one of the main temples of Bali. On the way to Singaraja, the former Balinese capital, are many other temples, mentioned in every travel guide. Ubud is only about 11/2 hrs drive away, the volcanos Gunung Batur and Gunung Agung can be reached in a short time. From extrem mountain tours, (to the Gunung Agur for example) to light trekking- tours or beautiful rice field-walks- Bali has many things to offer. The same applies to art, to cultural events or any kind of sport activities. In or near Gaia-Oasis you will find some of everything.
